Yoga Vacations with Karma Yoga Journeys
Yoga.com invites you on a yoga vacation to extend your yoga practice and
explore Karma Yoga. Karma Yoga is selfless service to humanity without
any attachments to the outcome. It is the Yoga of action, which purifies
the heart. Karma yoga is exemplified in the tradition of feeding the hungry,
nursing the aged, clothing the poor and sheltering all in need.

Next Yoga Vacation: Bolivia
We are traveling to Bolivia for an adventure in the Andes for two weeks starting September 7, 2008. Arrive in Cochabamba City Airport in Bolivia and meet the leader and other volunteers. We will be transported to our accomodations; a retreat center in a small town outside of the city in Vinto, Bolivia called Casa de Retiros. On this journey, participants will volunteer at an orphanage, teach children, and play and interact with them. We will also do a construction project to help the orphanage Hogar de Ninos. Like other Karma Yoga Journeys, participants do their own led yoga practice with the trip leader, yet to be announced. Along with Karma Yoga and yoga posture practice, participants will enjoy excursions to cultural places like the Quiaqollo, a local colonial town and Cochabamba where the we see South America's largest open air market. After more volunteering, participants have a farewell celebration at the orphanage. The group departs for La Paz and then goes to Lake Titicaca spending the night in Copacabana. After exploring Copacabana, we take a ferry to the Island of the Sun and spend the night. We then travel back to the airport and home, truly transformed by our heart opening Karma Yoga experience and being touched by having experienced another culture and place in the world.
